I am showing some new works in this exhibition, with other artists Laura Footes, Paul K Majek, Lauren Moses, Cece Philips.
In my new paintings, I am using the self image, to explore and find a visual language for conscious and subconscious emotions, from self criticism and doubt, to a cathartic acceptance of aging and imperfection. Focussing in again on how we reveal so much about our inner mental state through body language and facial expression, I am using myself as subject, because we ultimately experience emotion at it's deepest level, within ourselves, which then gives us empathy with others.
The Private View is on 23rd July, from 6 - 8 pm. All welcome. I am planning to be there. I
