In images of both the the figure and the shadow I am continuing to explore themes of introspection and contemplation, as well as loneliness and memory. I have been particularly interested in how body language, which is a silent language akin to paintings, can say so much, and how a small nuance can change and adapt meaning significantly.
Nino Mier Gallery is pleased to present Suspended Time, a solo exhibition of new paintings by British artist Jess Allen. This marks Allen's first solo exhibition with the gallery in New York, opening on May 12 at our Soho location.
